New in Funding: 🍕 €5 million for clean-label plant-based mozzarella

🌾 Talus Renewables, based in New York, raised $22 million Series A funding to accelerate production of its green ammonia technology, which uses water, air, and renewable power to create sustainable fertiliser.

🥗 UK-based Letoon Holding secured £20 million in a growth equity commitment from Nimbus Capital as it prepares for a London IPO. The vegetable waste firm has developed a way to use ultrasonic technology to extract nutrients from plants and vegetables, which then have applications in the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors.

📲 California-based Heali emerged from stealth to announce $3 million in seed funding and launch its personalised nutrition app, which offers AI-powered diet plans for managing over 200 chronic health conditions.

🇨🇱 Loads, based in Chile, secured $2.05 million in a funding round led by Nazca. Its aim is to bolster the food supplier network across Latin America by streamlining the importer process so that food products are supplied easily, and it already works with more than 700 importers and 300 suppliers.

📲 Dublin-based Positive Carbon raised €2.3 million, in a round led by Business Venture Partners’ EIIS Fund, for its fully automated platform which uses high-tech sensors to track, trace and ultimately eliminate food waste.

🍽 Appetite, an app for discovering and booking restaurants targeted at 25- to 34-year-olds, raised $2 million seed funding to roll out to everyone in the UK, with expansions planned for Europe and the US.
