💰Largest European plant-based meat investment since 2022

🍗 French plant-based meat startup Nxtfood raised €49 million from Creadev, Roquette Ventures, Clay Capital, and IRD Invest, marking the largest European plant-based meat investment since 2022, to triple production capacity, expand into new markets, and target profitability within 18 months.

🍄 Dutch fungi-based ingredients producer The Protein Brewery raised €30 million Series B funding from Invest-NL, BOM, Novo Holdings, Unovis Asset Management, and Madeli to scale production, expand its Fermotein® mycoprotein platform, and strengthen its commercial presence in Europe and the US.

🇳🇱 Netherlands-based scale-up Revyve secured nearly €24 million in a Series B funding round co-led by ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund and Invest-NL, bringing its total capital raised to over €40 million. It develops functional yeast proteins to replace eggs and additives in mainstream food products, and will use the funds to scale production and expand globally.

☕️ Boston-based Slate Milk, which makes protein-centric ready-to-drink, low sugar, lactose-free shakes and iced coffees, raised $23 million in a Series B round led by Foundership to expand its retail presence, launch new SKUs, and deepen partnerships with existing retailers.

📲 Doorstep, a startup tackling the “blind spot” of indoor food delivery with sensor-based tracking that integrates into existing apps, raised an $8 million seed funding round led by Canaan Partners with participation from Antler, Cercano Management, Cassius, and Kleiner Perkins to move from pilot to full production and expand its team.

🍫 Californian startup Alice Mushrooms secured $8 million in a round led by NewBound Venture Capital with backing from Unilever Ventures, Tiësto and existing celebrity investors. It makes functional vegan chocolate blends with mushrooms, nootropics and adaptogens, and will use the funds to expand its operations.

🩼 Massachusetts-based ArkeaBio, which is developing a vaccine to reduce livestock methane emissions, raised $7 million at the first close of its Series A+ round co-led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures and AgriZeroNZ, to advance its program from animal studies to large-scale field trials.

💵 Y Combinator-backed startup Burnt secured $3.8 million in a seed funding round led by Penny Jar Capital with participation from Scribble Ventures, Formation VC, and angel investors. It uses AI agents to automate back-office supply chain tasks in the US food industry, and will use the funds to expand its operations.

🥛 Jakarta-based Arummi, a plant-based startup producing cashew milk, raised $2 million seed funding in a round led by Beenext, Korea Investment Partners, and Fondation Botnar to scale distribution across Indonesia and Southeast Asia, expand brand awareness, and develop new products.

🇹🇷 Turkish cashew-based dairy alternatives brand Itz Nutz raised $535,000 in a round led by the ŞirketOrtağım Angel Investor Network and Mehmet Betil, with plans to boost R&D, develop new products, expand B2B partnerships, and grow in both domestic and international markets.

🍄 Brazilian startup Typcal, which grows mycoprotein via biomass fermentation using proprietary fast-growing fungi strains, has been accepted into the biotope by VIB incubator’s seventh cohort, securing €250,000 in funding and €100,000 in tailored support to scale its sustainable protein and fibre production.

🛰️ Flytrex secured its first investment and partnership with Uber Eats, and will pilot drone deliveries in US markets by year-end as part of Uber’s multimodal delivery strategy.
