💶 Pymwymic’s Healthy Food Systems Impact Fund II, backed by over 250 private and seven institutional investors, closed with €71.5 million to support agrifood companies advancing sustainable farming, food waste reduction, and regenerative agriculture solutions.
🍤 Indoor shrimp farming company Oceanloop secured a €35 million loan from the European Investment Bank to scale its RAS technology and support its German and Spanish expansion plans, as it aims to provide a sustainable, traceable, and welfare-focused alternative to imported shrimp.
🍭 LA-based sour candy company Final Boss Sour, which makes candy using dried fruit and sour acids, raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by Science Inc. to expand its operations.
💸 Eatable Adventures invested €2 million in seven agri-food startups, all focused on sustainability, resource efficiency, and social impact within the food tech sector, including Beadroots, which develops algae-based hydrogels to boost water efficiency, and Mama Science, which creates biodegradable packaging to extend food shelf life.
