21 new FoodTech Funds and Funding Rounds
Including tracking methane emissions of rice farming, 3D printed oat milk, meat alternatives from 50% mycelium and 50% Swedish oats
💰 US-based Siddhi Capital closed its second fund with $135 million, doubling the size of its first fund. It will use the capital raised to support “growth-stage companies across consumer and food tech”.
🦄 Agrovision secured $100 million and hit unicorn status following a period of ‘meteoric growth’ and international expansion. The berry supplier will use the funds to further expand its operations.
🥣 Oats Overnight, which makes spoon-free, high-protein overnight oatmeal, raised $35 million in a Series B funding round led by Enlightened Hospitality Investments to further expand its manufacturing capacity.
🩸 British wellness app Zoe, which creates personalised gut health nutrition programmes after providing at-home testing kits for customers to find out their blood fat, blood sugar, and gut health, raised $15 million to support its US expansion plans.
🇫🇮 Finland’s Onego Bio secured €14 million from the European Innovation Council Accelerator program and additional Series A investors to scale production of its precision fermentation egg protein, Bioalbumen.
🧀 California-based Plonts emerged from stealth with $12 million in funding to launch its “stinky” vegan cheese, made with fermented soy milk, into restaurants in San Francisco and New York City.
🥛 Veganz Group, based in Germany, raised €10 million to scale production of its 2D-printed oat milk, Mililk, alongside its pea protein-based meat alternative and a potential almond milk-based product.
🇮🇳 Indian agribusiness platform Agrizy secured $9.8 million Series A funding to connect the country’s small food processors with global B2B customers.
🌾 Vilnius-based Biomatter secured €6.5 million to develop new-to-the-world enzymes for industries including chemical manufacturing, agriculture, food, and life sciences.
🍳 NoPalm Ingredients, based in the Netherlands, closed its seed funding round with €5 million. It will use the funds to scale production of its sustainable alternative to palm oil, made from upcycled agrifood side streams via a patented fermentation process.
🇩🇰 Danish agtech Agrobiomics secured €4 million from NOON Ventures to bring its abiotic stress protectant to market. Fortify is designed to make plants more climate-resilient and able to protect themselves against stressors such as drought and salinity.
🇺🇸 Terrantic, based in the US, closed its oversubscribed seed round with $3.5 million for its online platform that manages and optimises the shipping, production, and storage of fresh products.
🌾 US startup Mitti Labs raised $3 million to tackle methane emissions and water wastage in rice farming. It has launched five projects across 30,000 hectares in India to embed and measure sustainable agricultural practices and help farmers raise their annual incomes by up to 30% by earning money from carbon credits.
🇸🇪 Swedish food tech Melt&Marble received grants totalling €2.76 million from the EIC Accelerator and the Horizon Europe Framework Programme to launch its “designer” fats in 2025. It uses precision fermentation and microbial engineering to produce sustainable alternatives to animal fats, cocoa butter, palm oil, and more.
🇰🇷 South Korea’s SUJIS LINK secured $2.5 million from Samyang Foods to scale its plant-based meat production, using High Moisture Meat Analog mass production technology from Bühler Group.

🧃 Israeli startup Blue Tree Technologies raised $2.26 million in a funding round led by OurCrowd. It uses a patented process to selectively remove sugars from beverages such as juice, milk, and beer.
🧫 Poland’s first cultivated meat startup, LabFarm, received €2 million from the country’s National Centre for Research and Development as it works to optimise its bioprocesses and scale its production.
🇬🇧 UK-based Boundless raised £1.5 million and says it has secured its position as the nation’s number one gut health bagged snack.
💰 Two students from the University of Waterloo in Canada received over $700,000 in grants from the Good Food Institute, Mitacs and New Harvest to further their research into advancing cultivated seafood production with AI.
🇧🇷 Brazilian startup Typcal received R$250,000 from the Paraná Anjo Inovador to leverage biomass fermentation in developing a mycoprotein ingredient for food applications.
